Common issues with Mailchimp integration

❗️ Error: Resource Not Found - The requested resource could not be found.

This error occurs when the list/audience selected in the bot setup is not found. Please reopen the bot and verify the list/audience you have specified OR this error occurs in the Add Tag to Subscriber action when the subscriber that is being added to the selected tag is not subscribed to the audience associated with the tag. In Mailchimp, tags are associated with a specific audience, even if you have a tag with the same name in multiple audiences.

You can use the Search Subscriber action and then apply the filter to make sure if the subscriber is found, if found only then apply the Tag, else stop.

❗️ I am unable to add the Mailchimp app in Automate.io. I am using Google sign-in.

Please follow this link and set up a username or password with Mailchimp. Once done, please try to add the Mailchimp app in Automate.io.

❗️ I do not see new subscribers being added to the list after the Bot has run successfully.

If your Mailchimp list has double opt-in enabled, you won't see any subscribers added by the Bot until after that new subscriber clicks through the double opt-in email. However, your bot activity page will show a successful task immediately, even if the subscriber does not confirm the double opt-in email.

❗️ My Bot does not trigger. I am using the New Subscriber trigger.

If someone was subscribed to a list, then unsubscribed, and later was added back to the list, the Bot will not trigger as it sees as a duplicate from the first time they subscribed. Only the unique email addresses will be sent by the Mailchimp API.

❗️ Error: ADDRESS must be provided - Please enter a complete address.

Mailchimp requires that you either leave all the address fields blank or provide a value to all of them. Hence, please verify if all the address fields have been provided a value.

❗️ Error: input parameters missing. I am using Mailchimp action, not the trigger.

This error occurs when there is no value provided for a required field. Please check the bot activity page and try to find out which required field did not get any value. You may reach out to our support team for the same.

❗️ Error: Required field "Subscriber Email" (email) is missing.

This error can occur if there was no field mapped to the email OR the field mapped did not contain any email address. Please make sure that the data is being passed for the required field email address.
